From June 25 to 27, 2024, a workshop dedicated to French-speaking Sub-Saharan African countries will take place in Lomé. This event aims to strengthen HIV testing services and their integration. Coinciding with the release of the new WHO recommendations on HIV Testing Services (HTS) and viral hepatitis, the workshop will provide an opportunity to assess the current situation in various countries and discuss prioritization based on specific contexts.
Solthis will participate in this workshop through three scheduled oral presentations on key topics:
- “Discussion with participants: What are the key priorities and innovative strategies for the future of HIV testing in WCA?”
This session will be dedicated to an open exchange with participants to identify priorities and innovative strategies to improve HIV testing in West and Central Africa. - “Roundtable: Opportunities for collaboration to implement and sustain differentiated testing approaches?”
This roundtable will bring together experts and key stakeholders to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnerships to implement and sustain differentiated HIV testing approaches. - “Panel discussion (3 countries): Presentations from 3 countries on opportunities to unlock the first 95 and challenges in implementing WHO recommendations”
This panel will feature representatives from three countries who will share their experiences, identified opportunities, and challenges in implementing WHO recommendations to improve HIV testing and achieve the “first 95” (i.e., 95% of people living with HIV knowing their HIV status).
