On April 7, 2026, the city of Lyon will host the One Health Summit, an international event dedicated to the links between human health, animal health, and environmental health.
Event Objective
The summit aims to promote an integrated approach to health (“One Health”) by fostering dialogue among public, private, and civil society stakeholders. The goal is to encourage the development of concrete solutions to current health and environmental challenges.
Context
Climate change is having a growing impact on health: an increase in infectious diseases, the rise of chronic diseases, and the deterioration of living and working conditions. According to the World Health Organization, these trends are expected to intensify in the coming decades.
Furthermore, progress toward the goals set by the United Nations under the Sustainable Development Goals remains limited today.
