Gabon
This technical assistance is part of the call for expressions of interest (AMI) entitled “Beyond the three pandemics: towards an integrated approach to children’s health” launched in May 2024 by the Initiative Accelerator, to which the Programme de Lutte contre le Paludisme du Gabon (PNLP) has responded. The PNLP requested support for the development of its comprehensive project “Prise en charge pédiatrique communautaire : approche intégrée (LOUESTSIPPC)”.
Implemented in partnership with the Expanded Program on Immunization, the civil society organization RENAPS AJ and the national nutrition center in the Louetsi-Bibaka and Louetsi-Wano health departments, this project aims to improve the health status of children under the age of 5, based on an integrated community approach to prevention and care.
The aim is to clarify the link with the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) and to strengthen the gender approach, in order to integrate these two elements as a priority in the intervention logic of the entire project.
General objective
To ensure that the PNLP Gabon project has the best possible chances of being financed by the Initiative as part of the Accelerator’s Pediatrics AMI.
Specific objectives
To support the PNLP in developing its full project and taking into account the conditions and recommendations resulting from the evaluation of the concept note and the established evaluation criteria.
