Technical assistance to Moto Action Cameroun (MAC) to carry out an organisational audit and draw up their strengthening and strategic plan in Cameroon
Promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
Context
CSOs play a crucial promotional role in the overall health system, through awareness-raising and education, advocacy, basic health services, community mobilisation, research and development and patient support. It is therefore important to strengthen them, to promote better coordination between players and better governance and citizen participation. MAC’s aim is to implement prevention and solidarity programmes in the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and it has chosen motorcycling as a means of mobilising its prevention efforts. At a time when the association has recently extended its work to other diseases (TB and malaria diagnoses in addition to HIV), and when it is in demand and has proven expertise with different target audiences (young people, mobile populations, women who are victims of GBV, etc.), MAC needs to redefine its vision and long-term objectives. Solthis’ support in drafting a new strategic plan (2024-2028) will help MAC to better identify priorities, allocate resources effectively, assess opportunities and potential risks, and clarify its missions to its staff. It will enable MAC to better adapt to external and internal changes and respond to them by adjusting its strategy according to the challenges or opportunities that will arise in the coming years.
