Solthis is proud to join the Climate Action Accelerator, a pioneering initiative aimed at mobilizing as many public interest actors as possible to transform their practices and create low-carbon, resilient, and sustainable models.
Considering today’s climate crisis, and that vulnerable populations are often the most affected by climate change, Solthis’ commitment to global health has expanded to include environmental issues. We are therefore, alongside many other partner organizations, embarking on an ambitious transformation process to reduce our carbon footprint and our environmental impact.
A structuring partnership based on three main axes.
- Reducing our carbonemissions
Solthis is committed to reducing its CO₂ emissions by 50% by 2030. We will implement a comprehensive approach that aims to identify, measure, and reduce the environmental impact of our activities—transportation, purchasing, infrastructure—while remaining compatible with the operational constraints inherent to our NGO and its mission.
- Solthis Senegal’s participation in the collective action cycle in West Africa
Solthis Senegal has joined the second collective cycle : a structured collective support program bringing together several NGOs and institutions in West Africa. The aim is to co-develop an emissions reduction strategy tailored to the local context, exchange best practices, and implement a measurable and impactful roadmap.
- Collaboration on the One Health/Health-Climate Seneya project
In Senegal, Climate Action Accelerator is a partner in our Seneya project. As part of this collaboration, Climate Action Accelerator will support the project team in implementing more sustainable practices, including the Climate VCA (Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment), it will also help define and implement climate resilience interventions at the level of health facilities and will enable communities and health workers to co-create sustainable solutions.
