RFI highlights the progress made through the technical assistance provided by Solthis to the National Tuberculosis Control Program (PNLT) in Madagascar, with support from L’Initiative – Expertise France.

This mission aims to improve the quality of tuberculosis care by strengthening the capacities of the PNLT and its partners. Through an in-depth analysis of the “tuberculosis cascade,” Solthis helps identify the barriers limiting access to screening, care, and prevention, in order to propose solutions tailored to on-the-ground realities.

In its report, RFI highlights the deployment of new rapid diagnostic tools and the training sessions organized for healthcare professionals. The goal: to better detect cases of tuberculosis, particularly in the country’s most remote areas, where nearly 30% of those affected still lack access to care.

This spotlight underscores the importance of strengthening health systems and fostering innovation to combat a disease that remains a major public health challenge in Madagascar.
