Our participation in the One Health Summit

As part of this event, our organization will be actively involved at several key moments of the Summit:

Event Objective

The summit aims to promote an integrated approach to health (“One Health”) by fostering dialogue among public, private, and civil society stakeholders. The goal is to encourage the development of concrete solutions to current health and environmental challenges.

Context

Climate change is having a growing impact on health: an increase in infectious diseases, the rise of chronic diseases, and the deterioration of living and working conditions. According to the World Health Organization, these trends are expected to intensify in the coming decades.

Furthermore, progress toward the goals set by the United Nations under the Sustainable Development Goals remains limited today.

Participants

The One Health Summit will bring together:

  • institutional representatives and public decision-makers;
  • businesses and economic stakeholders;
  • researchers and scientific experts;
  • civil society organizations.

Issues addressed

  • Impact of climate on human and animal health
  • Prevention of health risks (epidemics, antibiotic resistance, chronic diseases)
  • Occupational health and environmental conditions
  • Development of partnerships and innovative financing
  • Integration of health issues into organizational strategies

Expected outcomes

The event aims to foster the establishment of concrete collaborations and the development of operational projects, particularly through public-private partnerships, in order to address the needs identified in local communities.
